One thing I love more than taking photos of myself, my house and writing blog posts, is working with fabulous brands. When I started blogging, I genuinely thought, that all bloggers are like super rich kids, who just spend the day shopping, writing and enjoying fabulous life. Well, I am not far from that with the difference that bloggers are not rich kids and actually, they work really hard behind the scenes to theme their photo-shoots, edit the photos, write the content then promote and apply all SEO. It’s a seriously a full-time job itself! Yes, amazing events and cocktails are part of the benefits.
I still sometimes really want to pinch myself as I can’t believe how fortunate I am to have an opportunity to collaborate with some amazing brands! I still jump like a little girl, each time an email come through inviting me to events and collaborations. Last year, this time, I was sitting on my laptop and scrolling through Instagram of fantastic bloggers dreaming a little it could be me holding this amazing handbag or showing off this beautiful bedding. It could be me… From dreams to reality, I started working really hard. I’ve read tonnes of blog posts how to improve blog layout, how to edit photos etc. I would wake up at 4am before work to write a blog because a day before, I have worked in office till 10pm. Dedication. On a day of the event, i jumped into my new cat jeans and took a taxi to town.
So here, I was seating along talented Manchester bloggers, chatting about positive things and enjoying pink prosecco along with the yummiest and most Instgrammable Afternoon Tea at 12th from of Manchester House. Live the high life! What I really liked about this friendly meet up ,that it was quite intimate with a proper VIP feeling, along with 7 other invited bloggers. It was as luxurious as Farfetch brand is! The event wasn’t just about to sit down, eat and chit chat. What I really liked, what that Farfetch was particularly interested in how to work with bloggers, in terms of building a good relationship with us. I am so glad that there are more and more brands, who really pay attention to meet bloggers and is not just the case of promoting their products ‘somewhere’, on ‘someones’ blog. Isn’t that great? The event hosts, Kristy and Lauren made us feel really welcomed and both were not only very passionate about Farfetch brand but also just really nice girls to spend the afternoon with.
So, a little about the brand. Farfetch, with over 1000 labels, 400 fashion boutiques which are located at the most admirable locations like Paris, New York and London but also well known for online store, is one of the most exclusive brands in the UK. Just think; Dior, Prada, Calvin Klein… all the most luxurious brands you can imagine in one place. It’s not just the labels, It’s the place where you want to find best inspirations and shop latest trends; whatever is your style.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably noticed that I have recently ordered my Michael Kors jet set cute pink bag from Farfetch. The parcel arrived so nicely packed. I had to snap a photo of that. To compare, I bought my Michael Kors tote in Selfridges and I was less impressed with the package and I am such a sucker for nicely wrapped gifts and package design. When you shop in Farfetch, my advice would be to check out their online sales. I literally find so many amazing bits in incredible discounts. Oh and a little tip- if you are planning on travelling to London or you are from London, you can get things literally same day if pick up from their boutique, if you order before 10am! Amazing idea for a last minute event outfits! Order from a train, arrive and all ready to wear!
After the event, I sat in the lounge area, ordered a yummy cocktail and created a little office for myself. It was so nice to just do that! Manchester House was quite quiet at this time and the tables are supported with plugs; so perfect for laptop users. I really enjoyed my little co-working space.
