Last month, I was invited to a rather an unusual event. Habitat launched their new amazing AW16 lighting collection and completely transformed the Tottenham Court Road store into a Light Club with a real Dj station, bar and dance club!
I attend many events lately, and each one is different but you kind of keep finding the similarity: drinks, canapes and preview of collections with a nice atmosphere and bunch of other bloggers to chat to. What Habitat did, was something unexpected, and I mean a lot by that!
It started very innocently, and as soon as me and Dominika (my plus one girl and my very own new page designer- soon…soon reveal), as we walked to the store, it looked pretty ‘’normal’’. We walked into already a closed store so it looked very quiet. We were handed a small mystery bags, to find a glowing stick inside! Then, we were taken to the store basement where as soon as walked down the stairs, we saw the light coming, and we knew it then.. we just entered the Habitat Light Club!
The bar was full of colourful drinks, the place was glowing with spectacular colours and hired dancers were swirling around us! We found quirky sunglasses, some substance in a tube which I attempted to draw heart shape and ended up with a big pink splash on my hand instead, but who cares! It was fun and we laughed a lot! I met some fellow bloggers like Sarah Akwisombe and Gabriela from Flat15 who also enjoyed the exclusive pop-up night club.
AW16 lighting range. While sipping the yummy cocktails, we wandered around admiring the new collections. Few of them particularly stuck in my head. From beautiful copper to burst of colours and unusual shapes, Habitat collection definitely brought the wow factor of 2016 designs. Now, let’s have a look into the partyyyyy!!
What's more to say? It was a definitely a night to remember. Ah, and I will never forget the huge goodie bag I was handed at the end of the event, so neither will my fellow train journey passengers. I sincerely apologise, to everyone whose head, leg or any other limb got knocked by my big bag...ups but hell, it was worthy. My beautiful lamp arrived in Manchester at 2am safe and sound, with a slightly tipsy and happy owner ;) Reveal soon!
