It’s
I am not a beauty blogger, but a simple girl in her 30s with same skin problems as every girl this age. Besides that, my facial features may appear younger and not many people believe I turn 34 just in a few days, but believe me, my skin is already starting to show signs of ageing and first wrinkles.
My skin gets very uneven and full of spots, especially after a workout or when I am ill. This is sometimes such a difficult situation, as skin gets very dehydrated in some parts and some are still very oily. I usually get the problem as I have combination skin, but after the gym it just really difficult to keep my skin fresh. Also, as my skin is getting older, and staying all day in an office with air conditioning during winter, we all know its a recipe for a disaster. It’s very hard to keep your skin in immaculate condition, while you’re facing multiple problems at the same time.
The rescue is here with a Himalayan Charcoal and British Rose masks from The Body Shop. Each mask is made with absolute 100% vegetarian ingredients but also the Himalayan Charcoal and British Rose are suitable for Vegan. You can buy The finest Face Mask gift set from their website or in stores.
I’ll start with Himalayan Charcoal Charcoal, purifying glow mask. With Ayurvedic traditions, this mud mask will give you a tingling sensation of powerful bamboo charcoal with active ingredients of tea tree and green tea to purify the skin. We all know how charcoal became very popular in recent years for its active oil absorbance and brightening formula.
As soon as I applied the mask, I felt it work straight away. The tingling sensations gave me a feeling like a mask is literally eating the excess of oil out. Once applied, I massage the skin with the mud and small pieces of ingredients. Once it dried it became lighter but mixed with water, I massaged my face again, giving an extra peeling and polish effect. I applied the mask only on my T-Zone to fight the excess of oil and the applied the British Rose mask on the rest of my face.
The British Rose fresh plumping mask is perfect to nourish the dry areas with rose petals. The moisturising rose essence and toning rosehip oil combination along with soothing aloe vera can give you nice warm sensations leaving your skin plumped and hydrated. I applied this to my dry cheeks, forehead and neck.
After removing both masks with a warm cloth, my skin is left glowing and clean. I usually apply this duo on the evening of a Saturday or Friday night and keep away from makeup for a couple of days or at least hours. This gives the ingredients the chance to penetrate my skin but same time I did it before a night out and it really helps out to set the makeup perfectly. I am loving both masks and it always leaves my skin feeling refreshed and if you are looking for a last minute gift, then you know what you need to buy.
