We also liked our waitress, she was very attentive, extremely polite and quite funny. I love when people stay people and you can just have a normal chat and jokes rather than pretentious conversation and playing ‘’hey we are at a posh hotel we have to play posh’. We had the same experience in the bar while chatting to the staff there and wait for our pink prosecco. This is what I really loved about Mariott hotel, it was the staff who was very friendly, yet really cared if we enjoy our stay.
Next morning, we ordered breakfast to bed rather than going to a bar. I wanted to try that for a change. I am often on press trips and away, staying in various places where we usually have to meet up in a restaurant for a breakfast, therefore I thought it would be a good idea to stay in my room. I wasn’t wrong. I ordered a rather healthier choice with fruit and cornflakes instead of full-English (the other half wasn’t so happy about the choice though-meat eater, you know….lad ) The breakfast arrived bang on time, despite we had a 15min window which was nice. It was fresh, delicious and left me full of energy. I needed that after that prosecco a day earlier. We had a nice long shower and we got ready to check out. We also had an amazing window view of Manchester Deansgate’s Beetham tower and the main road as well.

I just absolutely love hotels. These photos are gorgeous! I stayed in the Holiday Inn in Brighton for my 21st and they upgraded us complimentary for my birthday, which was amazing.
What fun! We adore taking short breaks away to connect and relax.
Mini breaks are so the way forward, it doesn't need to be complicated just a breather. Lovely photos by the way.
What lovely accommodation! My mummy often takes a one night hotel stay to catch up on sleep and relax after chasing around a crazy toddler and working full time!
I definitely get you on being so busy you don't have two minute for each other. The micro break sounds like a much needed one and what a spectacular looking hotel
I love the idea of a microbreak and doing all the things you've been meaning to do. I'd love to stay somewhere in London but it's so pricy there x
Wow, so many photos! This looks like such a lovely hotel.
I would love to go on a microbreak. The hotel looks great and I really could do with some time off.
We stayed there a few years ago, and it is a great hotel! Glad to see they've still got those large, beat-up and very comfortable sofas in the bar area!
What a gorgeous room! I love the idea of a mini break in my local town x
I really think that a microbreak sounds wonderful just about now. I desperately need some time away from work!
What a beautiful room! I love the red brick and the exposed beams. I would have chosen to stay in too, and it sounds like you had a most wonderful time.
I love the idea of a microbreak! I work from home too – that's great suggestion R
What stunning pictures!! I live close to Manchester, it's a brilliant place to visit isn't it! Microbreaks are brilliant, I am actually off to Yorkshire for one myself on Friday – some R&R is needed! I'm glad you had a great time.
What a great microbreak! The hotel looks absolutely amazing.
