Two years ago, I was in the gym at least twice a week and exercising at home. I’ve lost some weight but most of all I was healthy and energised ( this was when I started blogging as well when I worked full time.) Last year, I started Live Lagom project and completely changed my lifestyle after a year of literally leaving on takeaways and ready meals. Thanks to the programme where I became an ambassador for, I again started exercising and eating well ( you can see my video for IKEA with Live Lagom post). I wanted to save up so money and didn’t go to the gym but this year, I am hitting the gym again and swimming pool. For this, of course, I need a new outfit and here is how this fab event helped me so much. I also started few things to loose weight and you will see few new posts on that as well 🙂
Back to the event; Nina and I arrived little late as she stuck in traffic so sadly we missed the first part. As soon as we walked to the event we were handed a wish list with our names on. We were given a glass of fizz and the friendly PR took us to preview the women streetwear collections. I had a bit of dilemma but as soon as I saw the Adidas white trainers with pink straps I just fell in love! These were instantly added to my wishlist. Next, I spotted Hype cropped sweatshirt. Most of my items are long and I stopped buying cropped clothes because of my insecurities, but since I am just about to become fit and healthy again, there is no reason why not? So, with that positivity in mind, I have also added Puma cropped long sleeve top (pink obviously). I also chose black and gold sparkle flow tank and matching leggings for the gym. These were super cute and It was a must have.
During the event, we were put in groups and they organised a little activity for us. A competition. I have joined a super positive fitness duo of @chessiekingg and @HealthyChefSteph and since the girls are super fast plus my wild ‘ I just want to win’ side- we won! As our prize, we were taken to exclusively preview the new collection coming and we could choose and extra peace to our list. I loved the pink soda range as well, especially a pink joggers and sweatshirt with hoodie. Since I could only pick one I have decided to go for the joggers and as soon as the sweatshirt hit the shops, it will land in my basket 🙂
The event was well organised with plenty of prosecco, activities and live music. The PR girls were incredibly friendly and it was great to chat to some blogging gals and meet few new faces. I loved seeing Jess (philocalist.co.uk), Frankie (fashiondough.com), Claire (iliketweet.com) and again who I recently met Hannah from (hannahgetshench.com) and meet Emma (lipstickandtrainers.com) I also met Sarah from (sequinthis.com) whose blog I’ve been reading since I started myself.
I am super excited for my new year gym start and can’t wait to get my JD sports pieces. Watch out for my Instagram stories from the gym and healthy diet tips. I promised myself a new tattoo once I tone up, so watch out for the 6pack by summer 😉
Thank you JD Sports team! It was the motivation I needed for 2017! ps. not best quality of pictures as only taken by phone ( moron me forgot my camera)
