Autumn is a time where we are styling our homes for various occasions, like Halloween or slowly gathering all Christmas decorations. I surely find the time between Halloween and Christmas quite impatient as I don’t want the spooky decor to stay entire November, yet I’m quite not ready for Christmas decorations. I love having that hygge feeling in my home, to get me feeling cozy and ready for Christmas so decided to share with you a simple ideas on a total budget to decorate your dining table whether you are hosting a pre-Christmas dinner, or after0hallowen party or an for just simple to be the table decorated until you swap for your Christmas one in December.
Gifted Items in this post*

As mentioned before, the is totally on a budget and you will find all items literally outside your window, park or forest. Small items can be purchased in local stores without spending a fortune.
You will need:
- Leaves. Find a nice yellow and red mix of the tree with quite a large leaves. Cut around 20cm lengths of the twigs with fairy healthy twigs ( check for any gigs on it)
- Red berries or rowan tree berries. These always look great.
- Mistletoe! As always will look great.
- Cork placemats or even better a small tree logs.
- Pillar candles
- Small bowl in rose gold or brass.
- Rose gold or brass cutlery set ( Viners offer a wide range on a budget) Gifted item*
- Marble dining set ( Mine is from The Range)
- Colored glassware ( Blue or Green) Available from Ikea, The Range on a budget.

All items above are easy to find, or source. The dining set was from The range £24.50 and Glassware as well from there £14 per set. I had originally ordered mine online for £10 per these never arrived, so keep on eye for your local stores like Dunelm online stock. My Viners set is so pretty! I love this minimalistic design with an angled handle for knives. Viners last for so long and colour doesn’t fade away or get scratched easily. The store offers loads of promotions and discounts so I’m sure you will find your perfect set. I love mine. ( Also, they offer discounts this black friday so don’t miss it! All discounted viners sets can be found in the link) In fact, many home stores offer discounts online. For example, websites like https://www.raise.com/coupons/lowes offer discount codes for Lowes and many similar homeware stores, to help you purchase some lovely items on a budget!
Styling this table is super easy.
- Place your dining set first, so you will how much space you have left for decorations.
- Place your cutlery on top of a plate and use your leaves as decor next to it. Instead of placing your fork and knife next to it, place on a top of your plate as the would give a nice styling point as well as a contrast on marble with gold. The yellow leaves will nicely reflect on your gold cutlery. Put your small spoon above and soup spoon on the left-hand side.
- Use your gold bowl as a center and place your pillar candles and lit them, You can also use tall candle holders on each side to give heights.
- In a long like ( as you would use a long table cloth, place your red berries mistletoe and other leaves in the center of the table creating a long line) This allows you to leave more space on the side for your food.
- Place your glassware with wine glasses on the right top and water glass on left with a cork coaster underneath.
that’s it…
Super easy, isn’t? Also, Viners kindly send me a set of their knives and wow… These not only look amazing in my boyfriend’s kitchen but also are very sharp and very practical. With a different type of knife, you have perfect ready for Christmas for your Turkey, bread or vegetable. I love it.
