It’s amazing the things that a female body can do, with nourishing a newborn baby being close to the top of the list. Breastfeeding not only gives your baby a great start in life, it also helps you to bond closely with your little one, both physically and mentally. However, over time, breastfeeding can take a toll on your body. The extent of this is mostly dependent on genetics, but there are some things you can do to help your breasts bounce back. We’re going to take a look at them in this article.
Wear a Supportive Bra
Your breasts change size a lot during pregnancy and postpartum, so don’t be surprised if you’re a completely different cup size to what you were before. To ensure your breasts remain well supported, it’s important to regularly measure them and wear the correct sized bra. Not only could a poorly fitted bra lead to pain and injury – especially if you’re physically active – but it won’t keep your breasts supported, which could lead to sagging.

Exfoliate and Moisturise
While bathing, use a body scrub on your breasts to gently exfoliate them and remove dead skin cells. This will help to boost elasticity and improve blood circulation. Following your bath, use a natural herbal lotion to moisturise your chest area. Moisturising lotion will help to keep your breasts hydrated, helping to maintain firmness.

Avoid Smoking
Research shows that smoking significantly reduces your body’s ability to heal itself. Heavy tobacco use can hinder the regeneration of skin cells, which leads to dryness, aging, and, eventually, wrinkles. If you want your breasts to look and feel the best they can be, say no to the cigarettes. Both your body and your family will thank you.

Don’t Rush the Weight Loss
Losing weight after having a baby is not something that should be rushed. It’s a very difficult time, and it’s important to give your body the time it needs to recover. Plus, when you lose weight quickly, loose excess skin is often produced. While this can regain its shape in some areas, the breasts are not one area that will bounce back. Work out in moderation and eat healthily if you want to lose weight in a sustainable and safe way.

Consider a Breast Uplift
Sometimes, completing all of the above is not enough to get your breasts to bounce back to their original shape. If you’ve tried natural solutions and they’ve not worked as you’d hoped, you may want to look into getting a breast uplift surgery. While this is not often available on the NHS – most cosmetic procedures aren’t – it doesn’t have to cost the earth if you get it done abroad. Cosmetic surgeons like Baris Yigit, based in Turkey, are cheaper than UK surgeons, yet just as experienced. You can even go to Fethiye for your surgery and combine it with a much-needed holiday for your young family.
Having a child is a wonderful experience, but it can cause problems for your breasts. Keep the above advice in mind, and show your breasts the love they deserve.
