Holidays, such as Easter is always associated with spending it with your family and friends. Big dinners and night out as well as spending it cosy with your loved ones but what to do if you single or just don’t have family or friends around? I can imagine, this time of a year, seeing plenty of Facebook statuses about people gathering together can be very depressing and upsetting. I have been there, believe me, so I decided to write lazy girl guide to survive Easter- lazy- yes and I explain further why. Staying at home and stocking on chocolate can be a perfect idea, but I wanted to show you hot to make it a little bit more

As much as Easter is the family holidays, it’s always associated with CHOCOLATE! I am strong believer this is one of the most amazing parts of it. We all love chocolate, aren’t we? Whether receiving chocolate or giving to someone special, thee are always ways to do it in a perfect way. Easter egg hunt, can be a fun idea if you have family around but what if you are home alone for various circumstances? More than receiving making us happy is GIVING. Think of Personalised gifts of chocolate, as these would make the most amazing gift ever. I always preferred to give than take, personalised gifts were always my favourite. This gives you the opportunity to make someone really happy and highly the occasion whether is Easter, wedding or birthday gift.
Living in the UK for nearly 12 years now, I have spent many holidays alone not particularly single but alone ( some as a single girl too). My boyfriend at that time would spend 12/14 hours in work as he worked in hospitality and during Holidays is the busiest time which resulted in me spending holidays on my own. At first, it felt depressing and lonely but soon I have found my magic cure to how to actually enjoy it on my own and ignore happy Facebook statuses.

I decided to name this post ‘lazy girl guide’ because, when you feel down- you perceived as lazy which is completely not true- you are just down and feel sorry for yourself. However, part of this post is actually about being lazy and enjoy that – so I stuck with the ‘lazy’ in my post 🙂

Easter Walk I love Easter for the fact that is associated with Spring, therefore better weather. I try to celebrate it with a long walk in the sun on my own. I usually pick locations like forests, parks or just a long walk in the city to get some fresh air but also walking helps me clear my head, energise and feel more relaxed. The worst thing you can do for yourself when you feel down is stuck with 4 walls and feel sorry for yourself. So put on some walking trainers or comfy shoes and get out there.

Hot Bath This is actually the part when you do put some lazy moments in it. This is the most relaxed moments you can do to yourself this Easter. Make your own face mask with chocolate! Mix 1 tablespoon of yoghurt, with tsp of raw honey and half banana with 2 tablespoons of raw chocolate powder. Mix all ingredients and apply for 15min and wash off with warm water. All these ingredients will make your skin glowing.

Make a chocolate cake Everyone loves chocolate cake, whether you are a pro baker or just not like me- you can still do it! Who cares if you fail? You already have a stash of chocolate from your own chocolate hunt. If you fail, post pictures of your miserable cake for friends on social media and let yourself laugh at loud or if you make the perfect one- even better- proudly show off and enjoy in front of the TV with your favourite Netflix series.
