Rose gold Christmas tree with a stylish decorations and a touch of pink is something I wanted for years now. I am trying to keep my living room in a rose gold colour scheme anyway, but for some reason, my Christmas tree always looked a bit like from a different story. The perks of having 2 young and mischievous cats at home, is that you end up with broken Christmas tree. Not just ones but twice within 2 weeks, and believe me a sellotaped Christmas tree doesn’t look great! This is why we didn’t buy any expensive Christmas tree as I was way to scared it will get damaged before even Christmas. Perhaps, you will ask why not a real Christmas tree? Let me tell you. We live in an apartment block, where a bunch of people above and below us keep their homes warm. Which means we are the lucky people, who always have kind of warm without the need of turning radiators on ( only occasionally). This is, however, a death sentence to any plant and Christmas tree. We tried twice now. Once we bought one at the beginning of December 2 years ago and after only 2 weeks it lost all idles and looked rather poorly. We got another one. and just to have to throw away like straight after Christmas. So yeah, it wasn’t fun faffing with decorations twice and constant idle cleaning! Unless I find the type that will survive here, for now- it’s a no!
This year, however, we found a solution to all our concerns and we ordered our tree from Treetopia. First of all, as soon as I saw my white Christmas tree online my instant thought was -That’s the one! You know when you just fell in love! I mean- just look at the tree yourself! Once we opened the tree and put it together, I knew this is a special one. It’s very thick and big, plus the quality is amazing! It comes with LED lights that are attached and all you is join few cables to make it work! So simple. The tree is also very heavy and what it comes with it, very solid. It was two cats tested now for two weeks and it survived!Yasss! It was perfect for my rose gold Christmas tree and pink theme and I couldn’t wait to decorate it!
So next stop; decorations! This year, I decided to carry on with my rose gold and pink theme and include that in my tree styling. I have baubles and decorations from few different places. I start with HomeSense as this is what’s most on the tree. While browsing in a shop, I have managed to smash the nicest bauble in the entire shop, therefore it won’t be featured here…sigh. I first picked the fabric Christmas decorations like my felt reminder and wool owl, as I found them super cute! It was love at a first sight. Then I found pink crystal like large (and super heavy) glass baubles. I loved the pink shade and bronze hanger with a heart shape little detail, as it looked way expensive yet for a box I paid £3.99! Unbelievable I know. I grabbed a full box of small pink pinecones baubles and saw the white winter gloves LED lights for £9.99 and I just had to have them. While shopping in HomeSense I was also stopped by their shop assistant and given 20% off because ‘I looked nice’’ -sweet! thank you.
Next to my favourite Att Pynta rose gold decorations from ohwhatsthis.com as these are one of my favourites as well. I just loved when the decorations arrived, well packed with a cute message from the shop owner plus the quality and shine is just perfect. I got a beautiful selection of rose gold stars with a geometric decorations. It’s definitely the main feature on my tree. I also got ROOM 356 copper fairy lights but you can’t see them under the garlands really, but it’s there. Honestly 😉 It’s just very delicate yet gives a nice soft glow. Isn’t it perfect for a rose gold white Christmas tree?
I also got some amazing Christmas decorations this year from a Houseology like the large Let it Snow bauble. This bauble is so beautiful. I love the hand painted slogan and the colour of the bauble is unusual with white frosted like insert yet some pink sparkles. Definitely, it stands out and had few nice compliments about it. I also got the white large (and super heavy) pinecone decoration and the window garland. Just love how it transformed the room instantly. You can also find my paper tree star in my bedroom just read my post from my Christmas bedroom makeover.
I also got clear plastic bulbs and decorated them myself. I had a bit of fun with and my initial idea was to fill them with a glitter but silly me, dropped everything on the floor so instead I cut part of my garland and used the idles that fell off my tree as they were sparkled! You know Livelagom vs up cycling 😉 You can clear bauble to decorate at Christina etsy shop.
This year most my decorations also comes from Bents.co.uk and perhaps you noticed my rose decoration on stag head from my bedroom makeover. My tree top is a white Poinsettia ( article one obviously) and it comes with a pin in back so it was super easy to attach it. Perhaps it wasn’t meant to be a tree top- but it kind of lends itself to it 😉 So all the rest of rose gold and pink baubles are from them as well as my window Merry Christmas sign.
I am super positively surprised with the prices on all my decorations. Comparing prices to a typical high street store, what I got on my tree it definitely can be counted as ‘on a budget’. Most all of the decorations are between £1.99 to £9 tops and seeing the crazy prices in shops this year I am 100% positive to encourage to buy online or pop into stores like HomeSense. You can find this way most unique and personal decorations and not end up having the same decorations as you neighbour who also went to the same store.
What do you think? Which are your favourite decorations? ps. next post will be styling dining table to check this space tomorrow!
ps. I have Turntable Giveaway!
